Why You Should Use Digital Printing That Is Eco Friendly

By Ruth Scott

When you are making custom labels, you need to use a way that is not only reliable but also fast and cost efficient. With so many printing options in the market today, you need to be careful with the method you select. If you want a method that will not stress or fail you, then you should opt for digital printing that is eco friendly. This is because it will give you quality products while preserving the environment.

When you use the digitalized printing methods, you are reducing and preventing waste. This is because this is a system which uses less paper compared to the traditional print. On the other hand, the old publishing method has setups which are long and also lots of waste. To avoid wasting, you should think about using the digitalized method.

When you have papers that have been used, the only thing left is to have them thrown away as they are seen as waste. This is not the case when you are printing digitally. With this option, you get to use recycled paper and still manage to get a great end product. Thus, the new method conserves the environment by making sure there are no waste products.

The old method of publishing requires that plates have to be made, papers have to be stung through the plate, printed on, and then cut down to size so that the client can have a press prove. This is not the same case with the digitalized method which allows rough draft to be sent to the customer electronically. Thus, this enables the client to approve or send suggestions without having to make the print on paper.

Some jobs might require press proof so that the material, color, or any special finish could be proved. This is paramount for those who want to ensure the printing has met the design expectations. Luckily with the digital publishing method, it is easy to produce a single copy of the final product without one having to deal with excess waste, thus making this approach less wasteful compared to a flexographic process.

The old method of publishing used many toxic chemicals to be able to produce printed piece whether working on a flexographic or offset. Thus, this is the reason the process took place in a dark room especially when plates were being manufactured. These plates could be either polyester or rubber. Other than that, one would need to use solvents to remove ink from the roller. The use of high toxic products is more on the tradition method of publishing compared to the digitalized publishing method.

The old method of publishing is not only harmful to the environment but also the people. The high level of toxin that is also used harms the people doing the printing. This is the reason the modern method is preferred as it is less harmful and easy to use.

Digital printing has positive impacts on the environment since it eliminates most of the chemical and physical wastes found in the old method of printing. At the same time, it is reliable as it produced high-quality equipment.
